Welcome to Website von guter Speise (https://vonguterspeise.de.) — a reconstruction of the oldest (ca. 1350 AD) cookbook, written in German. Our mission is to recreate all 101 recipes of the book; however, they are not comparable to modern recipes and leave a lot of room for interpretation. Thus, the best way to learn more, is to recreate them.
This website is written in German but a full translation to English shall be added in the near future.
